Christmas days were a long tradition in the Pierce house and were widely celebrated until 2018, until the moment when the head of the family Doug, who is a firefighter, dies on the job. On Christmas Eve, his wife Claire has to replace her colleague at work, putting son Teddy in charge of looking after daughter Kate. While watching old Christmas videos, Kate sees a strange hand suddenly emerge from the fireplace. Teddy Pierce is all grown up and doesn’t believe in the existence of Santa, but his little sister Kate is ready to stay up all night just so she doesn’t miss Santa’s appearance in the fireplace.
The kids arm themselves with a video camera to capture the appearance of the legendary grandfather. The children have no idea that this Christmas night will give them an unforgettable adventure.
